Former UWA Athletes
The Former UWA Athletes (FUWAA) is a group of past members and is affiliated with the present UWAAC. FUWAA has collected generous donations from former club members which has formed a fund especially for the athletics club and is managed by the University. Athletes may apply to FUWAA for funding to travel to interstate competitions. Letters of application should be made through the club.
Other Travel Assistance Grants
The Dept of Sport and Rec also offers travel assistance grants which open on the 13 of March: http://www.dsr.wa.gov.au/…/in…/athlete-travel-subsidy-scheme
We also recommend contacting your local council as they often provide travel assistance for national sporting events.
