If you are under the age of 17, you may be interested in join the UWA Little Athletics Centre. Please visit their website for further information. You can have a dual-membership with UWA Little Athletics Centre and UWA Athletics Club, which will enable you to train and compete at UWA Little Athletics Centre competitions, whilst also competing at Athletics WA Strive Competitions (generally Friday nights).
Membership entitles athletes to compete in the 2017/18 Athletics WA Strive Track & Field season (commencing October 2017), as well as the 2017 Winter season. UWAAC members receive ground access to the UWA Sports Park (McGillivray Oval) for the year during allocated club training times. We also offer financial assistance to athletes and coaches travelling to national events, subsidised leadership, coaching and first aid courses for members who are also studying at UWA. We have an exciting program of social events for the upcoming season, plus awards, relays and more!
Why are there different membership prices?
Membership is discounted for UWA students and staff due to their existing affiliation with the University. We also offer discounted membership for Under 18 athletes and Little Athletics athletes to encourage the transition to senior athletics.
Training Access Membership provides access for non-UWAAC members to train at McGillivray Oval during club training times and under a UWAAC coach. UWAAC are required to pay to book the training grounds for our training sessions, and as such ensure exclusive access for our members. We offer this membership as a courtesy to cater for athletes with an existing club relationship.
How do I register?
You will need to register through the Athletics WA website. Registrations open in September 2017.
How much does it cost?
See the fee structure table above. UWAAC also offers discounted memberships for UWA exchange students. Please contact Olivia Lyons (email@example.com) with your student number.
NB: Non-UWA athletes cannot train during UWAAC bookings if not with a UWAAC coach.
