With so many amazing achievements from our UWAAC athletes over the weekend, it is hard to choose a stand out.
But here is our athlete of the week for the state championships weekend.
Usually our humble Club Captains would be the ones selecting the athlete of the week, but we have gone behind Grant’s back this week, to give him some recognition for his out of this world achievements over the weekend.
On Friday night Grant placed first in the open triple jump, jumping a massive 15.05m! A PB and Grant’s first jump over 15m!
He then went on to back up in the High Jump, collecting the state title, and another PB! Not just that, but this time reaching the World University Games Qualifying standard of 2.20m!
